Nodes carry the mesh. Handhelds and terminals ride on it and give you a screen, a shell, and a map. Buy the terminal you'll work from, then add nodes until the mesh reaches where your people go.

Every price includes the complete GREYFATHOM OS suite with all eighteen tools enabled. There is no licence tier and nothing to unlock — what a tool can do depends only on what hardware is fitted.
No holes, on purpose
Neither Pelican case is drilled. I/O and antennas live inside and are used with the lid open, which is why the GFT-X keeps Pelican's IP67 rating for the unmodified case latched shut. The GFT-7's Vault V100 is weather-resistant, not waterproof — if the unit will meet real water, take the GFT-X.
Reach before gain
LoRa range is line-of-sight geometry first. This is the radio horizon for two antennas at a given height — the ceiling physics puts on you, before terrain, trees, or power. It is not a range promise.
Standard 4/3-earth radio horizon, d = 3.57 (√h₁ + √h₂). Real paths are shorter. Height beats gain almost every time.

Listed because you should know the direction, not because you can buy them. Neither has a verified specification, a price, or a date — and there are no pre-orders.
Where the money actually goes
Software is never the upsell.
Every unit ships with all eighteen tools installed and enabled. Nothing is withheld behind a licence. Four tools need a physical part to do their job, and that part is the only thing that ever costs more — because it is a component we have to buy and fit.
LoRa mesh radio
Makes Comms and Radio Config live. Already in the price of every terminal and node — there is no version of this product without it.
GNSS receiver
Makes Position live and puts you on the map automatically. Standard on every built terminal. Deselect it in the options picker and the price comes down.
SDR receiver
Makes the SDR spectrum tool live. A USB receiver, fitted and tested before the unit ships, with the driver already in the image.
More memory and more storage cost more for the same reason: they are parts. 4 GB is the floor and runs everything; 8 GB or more is what we recommend, because memory is what buys you a larger on-device AI model.
